Monomad: Those Silent Crickets

Crickets are the loudest insects at night. I remember when I lived in the village; I always heard their sounds breaking the silence of the night. But strangely, they were silent during the day, as if there was an unwritten prohibition that they were not allowed to make noise at that time. Crickets are not nocturnal insects; they are active during the daytime. They are easy to find in the bushes, sneaking between the green leaves and grass. I captured two different bush crickets one afternoon; those are quiet guys. At night, who knows?!
