The common name for this mushroom, which I spotted a few days ago while on a mushroom walk, is the mauve parachute (the mushroom is also known as the purple pinwheel). Although this is a macroscopic type of fungus, it is quite small in stature and often grows alone.
Even though it grows on tiny, dry branches that are occasionally covered in fallen leaves in poorly lit forests, the color is rather striking and makes it easy for you to find.
This time I deliberately modified it with a monochrome filter, so it lost its purple hue. You can still enjoy looking at the purple parachute despite its colorlessness, though. This is my entry for the current round of the #monomad challenge. Cheers!
