The foliate orb-weaver (Larinioides sp.), also known as the furrow spider, is an orb-weaver spider classified in the family Araneidae.

The spider has physical characteristics such as a large brown abdomen with a yellow zigzag pattern on the back that resembles a keris—a traditional Javanese weapon.

It has small eyes, long jaws almost the size of the pedipalps, spiny legs, and two pairs of front legs longer than the hind legs.

Unlike most orb-weaver spiders, the foliate orb-weaver didn't build large webs. They just glue some silk webs with a small span on the leaves, and that serves to keep eggs.

The foliate orb-weaver tends to be calm and non-aggressive. You will often see these spiders in the bushes that usually grow in plantations or forests.
