We will soon celebrate the new year 2023. But first, let me close out 2022 by sharing some macro photos of mushrooms that I did take this afternoon.
They typically grow in large, crowded clusters. But there aren't as many as are common, just some mushrooms.
The trooping crumble cap (Coprinellus disseminatus ), also known as the fairy inkcap, was noticed in a palm oil plantation.
They appeared to be new-born trooping crumble caps. The young mushrooms are still very fresh, with what appears to be granulated sugar covering the fruit bodies.
They are so fragile and will be broken with the slightest touch. I'm not sure if they'll survive until the new year. Perhaps they will greet the new year withered and dry.
