Hey insect lovers! Meet again on the second day of 2021. Today I want to show you some macro pictures that I took yesterday. It is two flies of the same kind. The first fly has golden-green characteristics on the back and abdomen, and the second is golden-red.

I am confused looking for the common and scientific name of this fly species. I've tried searching on Google images, and Yandex, but to no avail. I assumed that this species was most likely only found in Sumatra, Borneo, and the Malay Peninsula. But maybe my assumption is wrong.

I have seen these flies several times. Different from other fly species in general, we can only find these flies in forests or hilly areas. It loves Melastoma malabathricum flowers, I have also seen them clustered in corpse flowers (Amorphophallus titanum).

I would like to thank anyone who can help me to identify the common and scientific name of the fly.
