I sought the Lord and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears (psalm 34:4)
We live in a world that can be at times, a very frightening place, we live in a world that is very discouraging. During the darker days of life, we are wise to remember the words of Jesus who reassured His disciples saying "Take courage! It is I, don't be afraid" (Matthew 14:27).
You needn't worry about not feeling brave, Our Lord didn't pretend in the scene in Gethsemane, how thankful I am that when God became man He did not choose to become a man of iron nerves that would not have helped weakling like you and me nearly much.
One of the main missions of God is to free us from the debilitating bonds of fear and anxiety. God's heart is broken when He sees us do demonized and weighed down by fear.
