I think I might start a series about money. This will contain the few lessons I learnt while making , giving and managing money. This might also include things I have learnt from other people.
In this post, I will be writing a simple introduction that might also be broken in parts. I want something people can read quickly in each episode.
Attributes of Money
Money is a very rare commodity.
Don’t joke with it. I tend to sometimes slip into that state of being careless. It mostly doesn’t end well. No matter how much you have, don’t slip in to that state. It rarely ends well when you do that. I have I discovered is that some wealthy ones seem to be even more calculative of their finances than the decent earners. Pardon me to say, maybe that is why they are so consistently rich. Note the fact that I added the word consistently.
Money is like a long pipe with two ends.
Both sides are hard to close and open , yet you need to learn to master the skill of opening the sides , closing the sides , when and how to close the sides and how to identify the sides. These sides are the INPUT and OUTPUT, the input is where it comes in, the output is where it goes out. There are different principles guiding this phenomenon.
One of the most important principle here is to:
make sure the ratio of the OUTPUT’s opening to the INPUT’s opening is always less than 1.
Always!!! I believe exceptions to this principle are rare, I believe.
Money is like a long pipe (with a very complicated design)
Yes, I already said that. More precisely, I mean money is like a long pipe with very complicated design, meaning, it is rarely just straight and long. What I do mean is that money can get stuck in the pipe. You might have money and still be looking for it. Money is funny dude.
This is what happens when we buy assets that can’t be sold easily, so they depreciate while getting stuck in the pipe. This is also reminiscent of when we people owe us, or when you invest in time-based projects that makes us lose when things are delayed.
This is a part-introduction to the series , I might just continue if time allows me.
…to be continued…..
