Grasshoppers are herbivorous insects, they live in bushes and it is not easy to distinguish between them and the bushes.
The grasshoppers have antennae that are almost shorter than their body, there are species that make noises that we hear and they make the noises by rubbing their hind femurs against the forewings or abdomen or by snapping the wing sin flight. The hind femora are typically long and strong fitted for leaping .
Though the grasshoppers do a whole lot of damage to our crops, their benefits also can not be neglected because they make the ecosystem balance and they play a critical role in making the environment a safer and more efficient place for plants and other animals to thrive.
