In 1193, the Muslim ruler Kutub Uddin Aibek ordered to create a minar. The name of this minar is Qutub Minar. Height is 73 meter. It was built to celebrate the Muslims dominance in Delhi after the defeat of last Hindu ruler in Delhi.

The first three storeys of the Qutub Minar are made of red sandstone and the last two are made of marble and sandstone.
