Well for starters I wouldn't be able to ask this question. Now alot of people might feel that the world would come to an end or planes would start falling out of the sky but that's not actually the case.

The internet is most definitely important but it's not so important that it would cause wide spread panic and confusion. Planes can fly without the internet and trains can still move without them. Most likely, scheduling may become a bit jumbled up, but it won't actually do any serious damage. GPS tracking may not be available anymore, but we'll still have maps to use. The world depends on the internet for a lot of things, but not all of them are things that can't be done without the internet.

Social media of course would be thrown out the window, but person to person human interaction would increase. People would probably have no choice but to talk to their friends and family, co-workers and so on. If you ask me, it might do humanity a little good if this happens.

In the past, a couple of incidences have occured in different parts of the world which shut down communications with people for a couple of days and people didn't really get affected by it.

In 1998, due to a satellite failure, about 90% of the pagers in the US stopped working and it affected different people in different ways. The upper class men, business owners and CEOs weren't really bothered by it, but freelance workers like plumbers and electricians couldn't get jobs for days because no one could contact them.

I think the people that would feel it most are the younger generation, the millennials. We were born into the internet, life with it is all we've ever known and it disappearance will not be taken well at all, but none the less, over time, we would adjust.
