Sweeping Victory for Mr. Modi!

India gives a historic mandate to Mr. Modi.

Folks, as we predicted in our blog: https://steemit.com/india/@ajain/india-election-analysis-and-forecast-the-big-picture-and-final-projection, we are happy to inform that we were spot on and India has given a historic mandate to Modi led BJP government. This is the first time when a full majority government in power comes back again with an even higher majority.

We will dissect the election results in greater details in future articles but as of right now BJP is leading on 305 seats (in 2014 BJP got 282) and Congress has been decimated and is leading only in 50 seats. 272 is required for the majority.

Four key drivers drove this election results:

1. People's rejection of negative Congress campaign vs progressive and positive campaign of Mr. Modi
2. People's rejection of caste based vote bank politics of Congress and regional parties in favor of development based track record of Mr. Modi.
3. People's rejection of corruption politics of Congress in favor of a clean and transparent government.
4. People's rejection of Congress-led coalition government in favor of stable, determined government which keeps India security and integrity as the top priority.
