Many times, we feel sad, for one reason or another, and we think that we lack material objects to be happy, but nevertheless, we do not stop to look around us, those little things that life gives us. A simple flower, a little animal, a beautiful landscape, can nurture us and make our day happier.
Muchas veces, nos sentimos tristes, por una u otra razón y pensamos que nos faltan objetos materiales para ser felices, pero sin embargo, no nos detenemos a ver a nuestro alrededor, esas pequeñas cosas, que nos regala la vida. Una simple flor, un animalito, un hermoso paisaje, pueden nutrirnos y llegar a hacer nuestro día más alegre.
Sometimes, when I feel depressed I go out to look at nature and I start to contemplate the flowers regardless of their size, I love detailing the shape of the petals, their colors and even the leaves. I call it “admiring creation”. Nature gives us a variety of landscapes that are totally free and that sometimes, due to the rush of everyday life, we do not usually enjoy.
En ocasiones, cuando me siento deprimida salgo a mirar la naturaleza y me pongo a contemplar las flores sin importar su tamaño, me encanta detallar la forma de los pétalos, sus colores y hasta las hojas. Lo denomino “admirar la creación”. La naturaleza nos regala variedad de paisajes que son totalmente gratis y que a veces por la prisa del día a día, no solemos disfrutar.

Heliconia rotrata:
It is a perennial herbaceous species of the Heliconiaceae family. Unlike other species that grow upwards, achieving, its cup-shaped flowers store water, those of Heliconia rostrata are inclined downwards.

It is a perennial species with rhizomatous roots that can reach between 1.5 and 3 m in height. It is very visited by hummingbirds, as it is an excellent source of nectar.

**Pentas lanceolata: **
It is a species of flowering plant (Angiosperm) belonging to the Rubiaceae family, it is native to much of Africa as well as Yemen. Pentas lanceolata flowers are clustered at the tips of all growing points, creating landing pads for pollinators.

The Lilies (Los Lirios)
They belong to the Lilium genus of the Liliaceae family. Lilies are perennial herbaceous plants with erect stems and numerous alternate leaves. They thrive from bulbs made up of layers of fleshy scales.
Pertenecen al género Lilium de la familia de las Liliáceas. Los lirios son plantas herbáceas perennes de tallos erectos con numerosas hojas alternas. Prosperan a partir de bulbos formados por capas de escamas carnosas.
