The shots from the first two portraits of this page are in the previous post if you guys are interested to check them out. Today I learnt that using pencil as a base in staedtlers makes an illustration look very different than when not used. Yesterday, I kept erasing my pencil lines so that I could redraw them with colors and which obviously gave more transparency to the colors and they popped out brightly on the colored background.

Today I accidentally drew on top of the pencil and I don’t know why but it added more interest to the lines. Especially when I had to do the shadows around the neck or collar. Since these are watercolor pencils, I am highly tempted to use brushes on them but I think I will leave them be for now hehe. Loved making illustrations on colored background instead of what I normally do. Definitely more fun this way! Should be more interesting on a larger scale :)

What do you guys think?
