The moon doesn’t consider one phase better than another, she just glows, equally stunning at each turn, why should we be any different? -Christen Rodgers

How stunningly written isn’t it? I just couldn’t get my mind off of it once I read it. I agree and i think we can live life better if we handle situations in our life with much more grace. I mean sometimes, I catch myself bothering my peace with unnecessary thoughts and concerns in tough situations too and once I am through them, it seems so silly and I can’t help but think “Wow, I could have made that way easier for myself” I don’t know is it only me or does it happen with you guys too? Anyway just something I was pondering upon.

I posted the other half of this painting in my previous post and today I decided to put some colors in the second one after painting it with white. Painting over white gave it the luminous effect that was required for the moon instead of just painting over the white paper. The combination of pink and grey in different proportions and intensity gave quite interesting results too. Here, I made good use of fingers more than brushes to get that roughness of a rocky surface and it wonderfully worked on both of them. Overall I really enjoyed making them both and I think I might do a planet series soon. Let’s see!
