MY ENTRY FOR @STACH SHORT STORY CONTEST
I found the theme for this week a bit restrictive but alas, I decided to flow with the theme "sophia's flute" and make a really light-hearted short story surrounding the theme.
SOPHIA'S FLUTE : HOT PINK!
Sophia couldn’t contain her excitement when her mother finally got home, it wasn’t like she hasn’t seen her mother in a while or anything like that, in fact she just stepped out to purchase the source of Sophia’s excitement.
The slender hot pink musical instrument was the source of her excitement, to her it was the most beautiful flute her had ever laid her eyes on.
Sophia couldn’t wait for the next music practice in school where they would learn to play the flute and also get the chance to showoff her flute and make the other girls green or in this case pink with envy.
Monday morning, it was time for the unveiling, she pulls out her flute from her bag and she was waiting for the “I like you flute” “OMG! where did you it?”.
But to her dismay, all she got was “hey we have the same type of flute”. To Sophia’s surprise almost all the girls in her class had the same hot pink flute.
Turns out Sophia’s hot pink flute was just another pink flute.
