I came into reading this biased against it but read it anyways.

I voted against brackets because of my horrible experience back in the Chaos Legion days when cheaters were botting modern and I kept getting knocked down into lower leagues despite having a max level deck.

Whenever the subject came up about league level caps and I tried to bring it up that people were cheating I kept getting EVERY TIME someone saying I was a bad player and that is why I did not like league level caps. I mean every time.

But if you look at my account and my cards I am always at the level you would expect for the cards that I have - somewhere between diamond 1 and champ 2. I keep getting beat by people with cards that I don't have and they are the expensive ones that I can't afford so clearly the people that kept telling me that I was a bad player in the past were wrong.

The game has changed a lot since back in the Chaos Legion days. After reading this, I will admit although I voted against it, this implementation of brackets is well thought out.

However something already threw a monkey wrench into this implementation for me - the CA legendary Archon airdrop system.
It was too skewed towards black foils which got corrected with Escalation. All of my legendary CA Archons are level 2 so I can't use any of them except for Captain Frankie because I got lucky and pulled a black foil. Trying to get the copies of the other ones is just really expensive.

So probably what will happen with this new system is I'll be able to stay in the lower champ divisions until Rebellion cycles out of modern and then I will probably have to drop back to diamond even though I will have max levels of all the Escalation Archons.
So at that point it will be like I am camping Diamond for the purposes of game balance and the way this implementation is written.
