Historical Fort Stark New Castle New Hampshire
Fort Stark was named after General John Stark, a New Hampshire commander from New Hampshire. This Fort has been a watch location having been upgraded on several occasions, during several wars to provide watch and defense of this part of New England.
The American Revolution, The Federal Period, The Civil War Period, Post Civil War Period, The Endicott Period, World War I Era, World War II Period, Cold War Period.
In 1978, the Fort was returned to NH, and turned into a recreation area.
