Hello friends! How are you all? I wish everyone a happy and prosperous life. I love sharing everything鈥攖he good and the bad鈥攚ith the Hive community. Today, I鈥檇 like to share a story about a time when I was feeling down. On September 8th, I traveled from Dhaka to my village home to visit my parents. After our second-year Honours exams, there was a gap of nearly two months before the third-year classes began. Today, I finally have to head back to Dhaka. I feel quite sad about leaving home to return to the hostel. I usually travel by train; since my train was scheduled for 7:00 AM, I set off for the station with my father at 6:30 AM.
It was early November, and there was a fair amount of mist all around. A cold breeze was blowing, so I wrapped a shawl around myself. We reached the station, where a few people were gathered鈥攕ome sitting, some standing and chatting, and others organizing their luggage. Gradually, the sun began to rise; the morning sunlight feels so warm and pleasant to me. Near the station, I noticed a woman selling pithas (traditional cakes), so I had a bhapa pitha鈥攁 type of pitha prepared by steaming. It was delicious, filled with coconut and jaggery. Shortly after, the train arrived. I said goodbye to my father. Looking out the window, I saw him still watching even after the train had pulled away, continuing to gaze until it was completely out of sight. Perhaps that鈥檚 just how fathers are鈥攅ven if they don鈥檛 express their love in words, their actions reveal just how deeply they care for us.
The train journey felt long, and sitting there became quite boring, so I started working on some crochet projects. I settled in and began looking outside through the window. That is how I completed the journey and returned to the hostel. To ensure I wouldn't struggle for food or have to cook for myself, my mother prepared enough meals to last me two or three days. Thinking about all of this, I鈥檓 becoming quite emotional. I miss everyone so much. They have gone to such great lengths for me鈥擨 truly want to fulfill their dreams. I want to turn some of their hardships and sacrifices into a sense of peace and contentment.
I know my thoughts today are a bit scattered; I鈥檓 struggling to put them into coherent words. Perhaps many of you have had similar experiences. That鈥檚 all for today鈥攕tay well, everyone.
