‘Osmanthus Tea’, one of the subtlest tea I’ve ever drank. This is my favorite tea. I first tasted this in Hongkong, one of the Authentic Asian Chinese restaurant located in the mid-levels. Mid-levels, is a place in Central Hongkong where you can go up the levels of streets thru the longest escalator. This place is where you find variety of authentic gourmet restaurants and hi-end cafés and bars. This is a decent place to go and meet decent people. It is a must in the business world to have dinner drinks after office hours, just to wind up after the whole days work. In one of those streets is where the restaurant I tasted this tea. After I tasted it, I couldn’t help to buy for myself. I am a tea and coffee lover, and I know some of you are too! I looked for this tea, coz not all shop carries it! At the foot of the escalator is a Tea House. This tea house only sell teas and it is a specialty tea house. They have two Chinese rosewood tables that comes with ornate carved rosewood chairs, and where you can sit and taste all the kind of teas they carry, and later decide the best one you you love best. They only sell by pounds. All kinds of the Tea species they have, and they have the Osmanthus Tea. During that time, they don’t have it, the reason for this is that they can only harvest this flowers once a year, and that’s only the month of July. I was there November. I didn’t waste my time, I ordered mine before it runs out again!
