This will be my first post in this beautiful community. My name is Ivana, I am from Buenos Aires, Argentina and let me tell you that I love to travel to different parts of my country. Soon I will share more of these trips that I usually do with my husband but today let me show you a place with a certain sentimental meaning for me because this place is the only tourist place in the city where I live.

The place is called Campanopolis and it is nothing more and nothing less than a place built inspired by the infrastructures of the Middle Ages. The suburbs of Buenos Aires are known for being a very dangerous and not very pleasant place due to the waste and garbage dumps that reside there but this place was built from a garbage dump because its creator, Antonio Campana, built it from the garbage that the company CEAMSE dumped there and also from other recycled materials that he obtained through auctions of old objects or things that people gave him that they no longer used.

Antonio Campana started to build this place to cope, as a therapy, with his terminal illness and he saw gold in the garbage that people already considered useless.

He had no knowledge of architecture but what he did have was an enormous spirit and an imagination beyond the limits of the mind.

This was his dream since he was a lover of the Middle Ages and wanted to have his own village, which he did not stop raising until the last day of his death. What he could not use to build, he put in history museums, located within the site.

His illness was not an impediment to carry out his dream and despite his death decades ago, his legacy never died and people from all over the world can learn about his story of resilience by visiting this place.

The place feels like being in a fairy tale. There are even forest houses and you don't even know if there are beings from another plane living there.

The alleys or passages that it has, transport you and make you feel completely happy. If you don't visit this place, I don't know if you understand me. Visit many places but this is one of the few from which you come out renewed and eager to go forward in your projects.

Campanopolis, a place worth visiting. You feel a beautiful vibe and even more knowing the history of its founder.

Where others threw garbage, he planted trees and with that garbage, he built beautiful houses in medieval style.

This has been my post, I hope you liked it and I want to thank my great friend avdesing@avdesing for introducing me to this community because she knows well my love for traveling. Greetings and I hope this story motivates you to keep working on your dreams despite the adversities.
