What makes me less anxious is knowing someone whose laptop's battery was dead for 5+ years now. He refused to fix it or upgrade, and his laptop still works if connected to an outlet.

He doesn't use it as much as I'm using mine, but if he can last 5+ years, I can last a year. What do you think?
