One thing I love about our Libyan dialect is how we use pleasant wordings even to describe things that aren't pleasant.
For example the word "خيرك؟" means "Your good/goodness" but it's framed as a question "What's your goodness?" And we use it when someone does something bad, or makes a (probably huge) mistake, the equivalent of the English "What's wrong with you?!"*
It's apparent from the tone that it's a scolding/threatening phrase but the actual word used is "goodness" and not "wrong"!! #crossculture #learning #askleo
