I am going to describe Group 2A elements and their symbols in periodic table.
Group 2A elements are in left corner of periodic table .All the elements have two electrons in their valance shell.So they have tendency to lose these electrons to form +2 charge ion.The group 2 A elements are also called alkaline earth metals.
Their name and symbols are as:
- Beryllium Be
- Magnesium Mg
- Calcium Ca
- Strontium Sr
- Barrium Ba
- Radium Ra
