Today I am going to describe the topic free radicals and their formation.

FREE RADICALS:

                                  Free radicals are atoms or groups of  atoms having unpaired or odd number of electrons.

REPRESENTATION:

                                Free radicals are represented by putting dot over the symbol of an element. 

FORMATION:

                               Free radicals are formed by homolytic/equal breakage of  bond b/w two atoms when they absorb heat or light energy.

REACTIVITY:

                           A free radical is extremely reactive specie as it has tendency to complete its octet.
