Today I painted plain clothes into many nice colors,Tie Dye
The term tie-dye is taken from the English vocabulary which means tie and dip.
Tie-dye was popularized by the Hippies (Flower Generation), growing in the '60s.
Tie dye technique already exists in each country, only the mention is different.
In Japan, they call it Shibori. In India, tie dye is called Bandhna. In West Africa, this technique is known as the Indigo dye which is modified with traditional embroidery. In Thailand and Laos, this motif is known as Mudmee tie-dye which is basically black. In our own country, tie dye is known as "jumputan".
One of the most popular cloths from cloth is the "Rainbow" cloth from Palembang. Similar motifs of Pelangi cloth can be found in other parts of Indonesia, such as Java, Kalimantan, & Lombok. Indonesian tye die motifs: benthic seven, sun flower, five spots, nine spots, eggplant, five stars & spots.
In essence, bright colors with a variety of beautiful gradations resembling rainbows are characteristic of tie dye.
Tie dye motifs can also be found easily in Muslim clothing. Beautiful variations of the tie dye motif can be found in skirts, pants, blouses, dresses, and pashmina. Bright tie dye colors make Muslim women look fresh and cheerful in various situations.
