These concepts of no-tillage and no-tillage both represent a type of soil conservation tillage or minimum tillage, "no-tillage" clearly excludes any type of tillage and can be carried out manually, by animal traction or tractor on a small or large scale.
▶ In this system the seed is placed directly into the soil by injection or with disc or chisel coulters that cut the stubble, open the soil and deposit the seed. The no-till technology available today allows this concept to be used for almost any agricultural crop.
No-till can be interpreted in several ways, one of which is the combination of all conventional tillage operations in one operation including seeding.

Terminology defines tillage as a triangle, at the base of which is conventional tillage that includes a full range of soil preparation operations.
As the triangle becomes narrower the number of tillage operations decreases, which corresponds to reduced tillage. At the apex of the triangle the soil preparation is completely eliminated as in no-tillage.
