When I was a child, we hardly ever throw anything away.

We had a use for everything, from sweet tins for storage, leftover food to the dog or on the compost heap, old clothes for cleaning rags etc. etc. etc.

How inconsiderate of your wife's friend not to make the selves greater in height for your Liverpool possessions - shameful!
