Ulogs was introduced to me by my friend @timileyin988,Yesterday would have been my first day of posting on ulogs but there is no light on my phone.
I will be telling you guys how I spent yesterday and how interesting the day was.
I am a member of CACYOF(Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship) of this great university OOU.
I woke up at exactly 6:05 because that's what I set in my alarm clock, I did my morning devotion and I finished at 6:35am after which I went outside to brush my teeth. I finish that around five minutes later then I start to prepare my breakfast, you know what I prepared? I prepared pap we call it "ogi" in Yoruba land before I finish preparing the food it was like 7:00am then I ironed my clothes and after that I moved to the bathroom directly and took my bath. I finished every preparations around 7:20am what just remain for me is to eat and call the person that do take us to church. The man is the coordinator of brothers in the fellowship so he normally took me to church so that I won't waste my money and guess what? I don't have any penny with me this morning, at exactly 7:23am he called me that he is going to church in the next 7minutes so I dropped food and I said I will be eating when I come back from church.
On getting to church,I observed something is going on in church, I have forgotten that today is our ALUMNI thanksgiving service and the service was meant to start by 8:30am.
When it's 8:30 we started the Sunday school class and we finished by 9:00, normally it is 30minutes program and there is no changes in the time. After we finished Sunday school the coordinator of the fellowship came out and said they have breakfast for the ALUMNI so I begged us that he is going to take 30 minutes of the time and the program will start fully by 9:30am.
But to God be the glory the food was in excess to the extent of eating till you are satisfied,but been a morning I ordered for just 3 slices of bread with stew and I ate. Now it's the time for proper service, because it's already 9:30am.
The program was coordinated all through by the ALUMNUS,we start from opening prayer, followed by praise and worship we then sang from hymnal book then prayer session followed by testimonies, special number by the church choristers then by the ALUMNI chorister,in summary we later finish the program by benediction then me sang the fellowship hymn.
Reverend Taiwo OLA was the preacher and he is also part of the ALUMNI, infact he is the founder of the fellowship, the topic of the service was tagged: UNFEIGNED LOVE and he took his Bible verse in the book of 2Corinthians 6:6, Romans 12:9 and also the book of John 13:35
He explained what is love and let us know that the greatest love is the love God showed us by sending his only son to the earth to die for our sins.
To cut the story short, the word of knowledge I grabbed from his teaching is "when love is thick, faults is thin".This mean when there is love you won't be looking for someone's fault.
Less I forget, this man also narrate how the church was formed and how the maintained it then, he also talk about how serious they took academic then.
To say the fact yesterday was really excited we were given doughnuts and drink at the end of the program and left for house, immediately after I left the church rain started falling and when I entered house I just sleep because it's cold
Let me stop here because my hand is almost paining me.
