Super nice photos! Just a little tip: scientific names, like Hygrocybe splendidissima follow a few rules established by the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature. The first name - the genus - is capitalized, but the second name - the specific epithet - is never capitalized. Also both names should be in italic. When writing by hand, you can underline both words instead. Also you seem to have missed an 's' in 'splendidissima'. Great post though, thoroughly enjoyed the photos!
