Tides of Fate as a whole made the game worse, in my opinion. Decks enabled by Blade of the Creator are really bad as gameplay experience goes, particularly because there aren't almost any countermeasures and if you tech specifically to beat those decks, you'll likely lose a lot more against everything else.
