100 million is a pretty wild number. In July of 2024, University of Nebraska reported that about 1.8 million chickens would be culled because of the bird flu epidemic running through domestic chickens and wild birds. This epidemic doesn't just threaten to raise the price of eggs... the virus could 'jump', combine with circulating seasonal flu virus and create a superbug that will infect and kill humans efficiently...much as COVID19 did.

Those numbers for foreign aid...I don't have any way (or time) to look into. However, please know that though I love my country, I believe we rarely give money unless there is something in it for us. We are not really that charitable :))
