This is a most distressing but not shocking saga. Buying cryptocurrency in the U.S. is so difficult that I simply don't do it. I've no interest in cashing out but when I do I guess I'll have to be inventive. Large financial institutions apparently have no interest in making crypto into a negotiable currency--not in the U. S., anyway.
I hope you find your way out of this nightmare. Sounds like something from a Borges or Kafka story. I hope you get it sorted out sooner rather than later.
