What to say? I've been reading a bit about the Roman encampment at Vindebona since I first saw your blog last night.

Several elements of the ancient fortress, which had a size of about 18½ hectare, can still be recognized on the modern map

The clocks are magnificent. In this article, and in others in which you featured globes, it is evident that there was a heightened awareness of the planets. I wonder what those clock makers and cartographers would make of CERN, and our space travels.

Another delightful article, obviously food not only for the eyes but also for the imagination.
