I love the photo!

I can get a bit overenthusiastic, even obsessive about things

The first rule for living happily with this trait is to acknowledge it, enjoy it, and not torture others with obsessive preoccupations. I speak from experience. What I've learned to do is notice when people's eyes are glazing over. At that point I benevolently fall silent.

However, there is a really practical side to this trait. Not only do you get to know a lot of stuff (that maybe doesn't matter) but you also can be quite useful to others. When someone needs to know something, whether it's about health or just about anything else, they ask me to 'look it up'. They know I won't stop until I find an answer.

As I get older, I find this is harder to do, but still, after a lifetime of research I have a kind of muscle memory. Those tools still work for me, but with a bit of resistance.

Your blogs are inevitably honest. No rose-colored glasses in your self reflection. That is refreshing.
