I will be contrary here :)

I've been poor. So I know about measuring poverty. My recollection is shame at being poor. My mother never tried to appear more poor than she was. As a matter of fact, pride made her hide some of the worst effects of being poor. She used to collect surplus food (from U.S. Agriculture?)in huge packages and she was humiliated when she did this. She would humbly accept whatever they gave her and take it home. I think a lot of poor people are like my mother. All they want to do is not be poor, and they work really hard to get out of that condition.

Also, about Hive numbers. I think if we were retailers, we wouldn't want simply get people in the store. We'd work to keep them. I don't think we do that in Hive. I think, once someone stumbles across our threshold we leave them on their own. I think we should all look out for the newbies, for the accounts that are not getting any feedback and upvotes. I think we should all decide to upvote/comment on at least one post that's not getting any rewards, every day. I've said this before and then I slipped and stopped doing it. But one person can't turn the tide. We all have to get out of our comfort mode and look for new accounts that are unnoticed. It is really encouraging to get a comment and/or a vote from an established Hive account if you are just starting out. It means you're not invisible.

So there. I'm being contrary. I really like your videos. You have a cool, relaxed manner. You'd make a good teacher :)
