My husband and I are old, but life is precious. As long as we can live comfortably, we hold onto it. The doctor in the emergency room was trying to talk me into a DNR--do not resuscitate. To him my husband was an old man with stage 4 cancer. He didn't see the person I took home with me Saturday. We have to keep things in perspective, always, but life is precious as long as it is good. For us, right now it still is.

It was a terrible time, but it's over, at least for a while.
