Jackie was older so maybe it makes sense that Shadow would outlive her. He will go on himself to 'rob the cradle', maybe. The cycle of life will continue...more babies, more eagles.

Did the young eaglets return to the nest after they were grown? Do they recognize family? Apparently, in some eagle species they do.
