I have a rule too: If it's popular, I probably won't like it. That's true for books and for movies. This movie does not have one sex scene. Oh no! The violence is constant, but not gory. Oh no! I did read one comment where the viewer complained the monsters were not featured enough. Most people want a monster film to be monstrous. I want a film to tell a good story. I want it to be sharp, and to feature credible actors. I want it to be reasonably original. I don't want it to waste my time with fluff and fillers.

It's got to be a pretty good movie these days to hold my attention for every scene, to the very end. I don't have a problem with attention span. I have a problem with shallow scripts.

The IMDB rating for the show Landman is 8.1. That show is garbage. I couldn't even get through the first episode. Half way into it my husband turned to me and said, "You don't like it, do you?" I hadn't said a word. He just knew I would think it was garbage.

The list of authors and moviemakers for whom I have little regard is long. Many of those are popular. I don't care 😂

As you know, I am an ornery person with an independent view. Probably why I don't talk to many people :))
