He isn't doing it. They are doing it. A whole bunch of people don't like those rights. Irksome. Ties the government's hands. Need to get things done. Move forward, fast. Courts? Slow things down. But not the Supreme Court, apparently. He knew who to pick for that and the Senate let them in.

You are right. It's up to us. Do we have the guts to stand up when the tanks are in the streets and the soldiers are enforcing those new rules? I don't know.
