That makes sense...a stationary figure will not long fool a clever crow. I've never seen a scarecrow except as a decoration. I lived in farm country and can't recall ever seeing one.

I don't remember what my grandfather did to protect is crops...those were the days when you'd see crop dusting airplanes in the sky. It was a different time (1950s). People didn't understand the danger of toxins on the farm.
