The sad part about this story is, people aren't giving up essential liberty to purchase safety--they're doing it to purchase convenience. A personal assistant that listens to everything you say, that can monitor your actions in your own home? Why would anyone consent to this madness? Who needs Philip K. Dick when we have the nightmare of reality?
