In this video, I discuss how given the new expense run rate following the amended funding proposal we actually need even less player paying less money to make the game sustainable for the long term. In this example, I compare the price of a current console game - roughly $60 - to what someone may choose to spend as their 'entertainment' budget per year in Splinterlands. If you can get someone to spend that much, you'd only need 12k accounts to meet the team expenses, plus that is actually conservative considering there are passive ways in which the team also earns. The game currently has anywhere from 2000-4000 players and many of them already spend well over $60/year.
