Welcome to the weekly edition of my "Daily Grind" series of blogs. Since the "Dread Awakening" set went alive I have never encountered a solid Chosen One deck and with the previous sets, I have also never been able to battle a solid Chosen One deck. When I was reviewing the cards of the Dread Awakening set I came to realize that the Chosen One archetype is going to be a solid deck. But then, up until now, I have never battled a solid one.

In today's Daily Play & Earn, I got the chance to battle a Chosen One deck, it is good, but it is not solid. By the way, I thought Chosen One would rival the "Heal Light" deck that utilizes "Blade of the Creator".

In this featured match, I am up against a good Chosen One deck. But I will be honest, I think this is not a solid deck. Also, I believe, that with the right combination of cards from the Dread Awakening set it will be a formidable deck.

In mulligan, I always look for my 1-2 mana cards to play on the first turn.

I played Wood-cutter Imp and went face immediately. My opponent played his god power to nerf Wood-cutter Imp to 2/3.

I played Trial Spirit to buff the health of Wood-cutter Imp. I went face with Wood-cutter Imp. My opponent rebuffed Wood-cutter Imp to 2/3 once again.

I played Tavern Brawler and I used my god power on Wood-cutter Imp. I went face with Wood-cutter Imp and Trial Spirit. My opponent played Blood Oat Binder and Aging Veteran and buffed it with Humble Benefactor (twice).

I buffed Wood-cutter Imp with Enrage, I attacked Blood Oath Binder with Wood-cutter Imp and Trial Spirit. I played Another Wood-cutter Imp and I killed Aging Veteran. I killed two Humble Benefactors with Wood-cutter Imp and Tavern Brawler. My opponent played Lustric Punisher.

I played White Fur Guard. I went face with Tavern Brawler and I killed Humber Benefactor with Wood-cutter Imp. My opponent played Guiding Light.

I buffed White Fur Guard with Redfume Serum. I went face with White Fur Guard, Tavern Brawler, and Wood-cutter Imp. My opponent played a 10/13 Soldier of T'Artess (The Chosen One).

I played Atlant Phalanx. My opponent played Light and Luster and set all the creatures' health to 1 including his creatures. My opponent played 1/1. frontline. My opponent used his god power to Atland Phalanx and reduced its strength to 4.

I attacked the 15/5 Soldier T'Artess to remove the protection and I killed it with 9/1 White Fur Guard. I killed my opponent's 1/1 frontline with Wood-cutter Imp and I went face with 4/1 Atlant Phalanx and it is GG.
