It's now the era of social media. And it's probably impossible to stop the information on social media paltforms, whether it's right or wrong. We see news stories are being shared on social media WhatsApp etc without any proof.
I think it's our moral responsibility to find the proof first and then share stories with others. At least we should try to find the source of the story, from the story has been copied.
Where do the rumors come from?
Lets say a person has shared a story with someone, irrespective of the fact whether it's true or false but that story is being copied by another guy etc and that story keep on spreading and when you receive the story, it might have changed. You may not receive the original story being shared by the main source.
Same is with the lies and false news, they also are being in the same way, whether the main news is being changed or not, doesn't matter because after all it's all lies.
So it is an obligation for us that we shouldn't be sharing something blindly about which we have no idea. It can cause harm to people in different ways.
Take the example of FUD in the crypto world. As we already know that this crypto market is very volatile. So whenever we see some fake news after being copied again and again reaches to us creating a FUD and can harm the market.
Not only in the crypto world but also in other walks of life, it can cause a harm, so we should be more responsible.
There is a proverb in our local language which I will try to translate, says something like,
Before arrival of the truth, lies destroyed the world.
So you should be thoughtful about this and think to yourself that am I being used as a source in spreading the lies?
