Not only in the previous olden days are warriors and powerful men intoxicated by powers that they feel so highly of their powers and forget humanity but as it has been in the past, so is it presently and forever it shall be and that is not in any way a curse or misplaced use of words.
Nowadays, people inflict their fellow humans because they are in a higher position than them to make them suffer. Some are basically triggered due to the money and influence of connections they have to do and undo.
We see employers laying off employees because they failed to please them with the selfish interest of their hearts as employers. People are deprived of their rights because the ones with connections now get it and more often we think this is happening in the government and political settings alone but little do we know that even we as masses offer moments of pain to ourselves than others from higher level.
I was listening to a radio program sometime last week and the atmosphere changed when a caller called in to talk about how general hospitals now offer VIP consultation and treatment no matter how long the queue they met on ground. Either they needed faster consultation than these so-called VIP patients. It was said that it was publicly declared to the people sitting down that if you want a VIP consultation or treatment, for a faster and more efficient treatment then come along and on been addressed, they got to know that they will be paying 50,000 naira registration fee for consultation and 200,000 naira for VIP treatment.
People who bring this idea are also masses like these patients no matter what their role at work may be and something that the OAP said kind of struck me that the rich won't kill the poor but that we masses will be the ones to kill ourselves. Even if an influential rich man would instigate an act to override masses with his position and power, another masses will be a tool to use in executing that so I kind of reckoned with what he said.
So while some people rush to the hospital as early as possible in the morning just to be attended to on time by taking a reasonable early number, some people come in at any time convenient for them because they have their VIP ticket or cards making them have immunity over every other fellow citizen who might have been sitting for hours and not yet attended to by doctors or nurses.
This definitely puts pressure on people, thinking about how worse their lives are without money because someone who has it just got what they had been waiting for in a second.
This can be corrected when we all choose not to be mute when we see our rights been trampled on. Speaking out doesn't always mean causing violence but coming together in one voice to stand against what's bad gives no room for the bad act to occur in any way and also brings the perpetrators to realize that there's It's a different thing when we it's originally part of the hospitals membership plan.
