Out of many things that extends or contagious, kindness is one. Kindness does not end where it was done and if it's not attracting more kindness to the person it was done to then it will influence the person it was done to to also have the spirit of kindness because he or she knows how meaningful it is to receive one.
I am not yet in the cycle of those who has counts of big kindness been done to them but I can say that I have experienced and receive some very little hand of kindness been shown to me but then, they really meant so much to me because they came in at the darkest time that I wasn't hoping on anything as solution.
The one of them I wouldn't forget is when I was still a serving corp member and still new in the area I moved to for my service year. I had no gas cooker yet, neither do I have food at home to cook and I was so damn broke already to get anything to eat. There was even literally nothing on me to transit to work the next day.
Just then and right there, where I was thinking I would go without lunch and dinner and probably count the ceilings before daybreak, she knocked on my door and offered me some biscuits and 1 litre of coke as if she knew my current suffering. Probably she perceived it since she knew I just moved in and with less luggages and baggages.
That act that day made me realize that NOTHING, absolutely nothing is too small to give to someone because you never can tell how useful it will be for them at that very point in time.
Not even in this present economy where hunger is the basic problem most people have. No matter how small it may be, as long as I am aware, no one around me would actually go hungry. We would rather share what is on ground to hold our tummy for a bit and that is not an act for this week alone but for as long as I will be existing and in the position to put a smile on faces of those who genuinely has no hope of what to eat.
