A part of the scripture popped up in my head while reading the prompt for the last edition and it is
Old things have passed away. Behold all things have become new
Everyone has their past lifestyles of whatever they've done with it either good or bad as there is no one with a perfect life history without a flaw or the other.
That someone has a good profile today does not mean they were not once a bitter and worse person one could ever imagined before and that is why when some past are digged into, then we become speechless as to what the heck had gone wrong with this person back then.
Some of the testimonies that kept flowing online back then, in terms of some converts who were making an open confession or testimonies as per the whole transformation they have from being a child trafficker or prostitution to becoming a better person of good character and even a philanthropist that there is absolutely no day that would go without people saying one or two good things about them.
In this particular kind of scenerio, can we say the past of this so-called person be revisited or not?
This kind of matters are always sensitive to have a say on but no matter what, as long as lives are negatively affected with the past and even destroyed then definitely if such act comes to light, justice must surely bring such person to book. Their crimes shouldn't have to be erased because they've turned a new leaf "as long as lives were involved" and I quote.
Recently or let me say in the past months, a famous artist here in my country was being dragged online over an old post she made concerning a little boy of which was counted against her to be child molestation or so and this really trend online that the affected authorities had to chip in to investigate the matter but then her own side of the story was that she was only catching cruise with those post as a way to have an engagement on her profile or posts back then so she literally post any funny things that happens in her day.
Even if her story may be legit and considering the profile she has built for herself now here in my country and overseas, this case was still revisited by investigating through it to know the real truth behind it and believe me, if evidences were really brought up to back up the case against her, I'm sure she will be facing the wrath of the law right now. Law is not a respecter of anybody or season either past or present as long as you're brought to book and your crimes are brought to light or open.
This is actually the reason why we should ensure that we are careful in whatever we do that it doesn't end up tarnishing or destroying whatever we've built in the nearest future when people hear about it and not just being carefree with the thoughts that whatever we've done in our past either destroying lives directly or not, as long as we turn a new leaf then it's gonna be forgotten and looked over.
