We know that waking up early would do wonders, and most successful people around the world opt to wake up early so that they can start working and get their things done before majority of the people. But waking up early is not an easy task for people like me who are night owls. Despite being the fact that early risers have way more time to accomplish their work, some people still choose to wake up late yet complete their works. But if your goal is to wake up early, you can get some worthy tips here.
The most important one: Find the reason
No good habit is maintained persistently until you find the reason and purpose of the habit. As I told you earlier, you must always ask yourself why I should wake up early. Is that to get work done in time, or is it linked to another good habit like exercise? The more purposeful your reason, the more your good habit thrives. This way you will not press the tiny snooze button to get a tiny sleep.
Try to know how much duration you require to sleep
Some researchers say an average adult must sleep for around 7 to 9 hours. But this doesn’t work for some people. Some may wish to sleep even lesser and some wish to sleep more. But sleeping more than 9 hours is not a good idea as far as I am concerned. With repeated experiments, you will get to know how much sleep you really want in order to be energetic the following day. Moreover, you should set a time just for sleeping, which allows your bran to habituate the time and you will automatically fall asleep at the correct time.
Control lighting, it affects your melatonin production levels
Melatonin, which is a hormone, is greatly associated with your sleep. And this is linked to the amount of white light that present in your room. If you have more white light, you are more likely to sleep late than those who don’t have. Since people in early ages used to follow the sunlight, they never get the problems related to sleep. If you drop your white light in your home in terms of lights, TV, and smartphones, you can control the melatonin production that helps to increase your quality of sleep. Therefore, avoid any kind of screens at least before 30min to 1 hour of sleep.
Calm your mind before going to bed
Our brains are bombarded with struggles, problems, and pressures from all the long days. But if you try to maintain your brain and keep calm before going to bed, you are more likely to wake up early and do things early. I choose to write a book that has a lot of things related to me. This keeps my brain calm and relaxed. You can meditate if you are looking for another good habit that is linked to a quality sleep.
