I actually thought it will be easy. I joined more than five leagues and I'm not topping any of them. In fact, I didn't make top 150 in one of these leagues. Before making jest of me, just know there are several others beneath me. This is my first season playing it and I thought I'd learnt everything about it when I registered. After using my Tripple Captain and Bench Boost option, I realized I won't be able to use them again till next season. Trust me, I wouldn't have used them earlier if I had known it's a one time thing. I'd have saved the Bench Boost for later.
Well, I still have the Free Hit and Wild Card option to use. I believe I will have a good season; I just want to move up a little. Setting up a team with £100 Million wasn't easy. I wanted every part of my line to be good, but I guess those that spent heavily on forwards alone are ripping the rewards. My forwards isn't bad either, but I have a good backline giving me the points I need. I'm still having problem getting the perfect midfielders. I have used the free transfer twice in my midfield and I'm still planning to use another one this week.
I had to send Gundogan away since he wasn't giving me enough points. Guardiola wasn't including him in his starting lineup. I replaced him with Kante thinking he will do better, but the French man got an injury and couldn't play. The second transfer I made was replacing Pulisic with Martial. Again, Martial picked up an injury and couldn't play their last match. The players I end up buying ends up in my bench. I sold Martial last week and got Mount for a good price. He gave me just 2 points, but it was better than nothing.
Right now, I have £1.8m in my bank. I can get De Bryune if I sell Bernardo Silva and few points will be removed from my points since I will need £0.2m to balance up. This is a decision I'm struggling to make. Bernardo isn't giving me the points I need and Guardiola is still figuring who to use first between him and Mharez. Boly has a red card and won't be available in the next match. I have a chance of replacing him with a better striker, too. Also, Deeney has been in my bench for a long time and I have a chance of replacing him with Abraham. It's difficult knowing what to do with my free transfer and I honestly don't want to use my Wild Card yet.
Still, the experience is great. I've always wondered why people talk a lot about it. Now I know. How has it been at your end?
