Well, I never saw this coming. Chelsea FC were banned from signing players in this transfer window, so the possibilities of selling some of the players they have was low. After selling their best player, Hazard, no one would expect them to sell another great player. Take it or leave it, David Luiz is an experienced defender with great qualities. He had played in Chelsea and Paris Saint German with great defenders to pair with. He has the experience, no doubt. I'm wondering if Chelsea is at loss for selling him. The transfer fee isn't much at all. If it was, we would have assumed the fee attracted Chelsea, but £8 million for the defender?
Arsenal need a solid defense line. Hopefully, with David Luiz in the team, their defense would be tighter than before. Chelsea on the other hand still have defenders to use. In fact, they loaned out some of their defenders; meaning the defensive side isn't their problem and David Luiz transfer won't cost them any problem.
Is this a good deal for Arsenal? Let me know in the comment section.
